Last year after the All-Star break, the Sabres kicked things off with a nine game streak in which they went 7-0-2. That's sweet. Maybe they can do that again.
I don't want to watch tonight's game. There is no way that tonight's game could be half as amazing as last night's, so there's basically a guarantee that unless AT LEAST 10 goals are scored, I won't be as happy as I was after last night's game. Will I still watch? Of course. There's always the possibility that someone else could shine tonight.
That being said, I will take any kind of win. Preferably in regulation because it will help the Canucks. Although, for my prediction to hold true the Sabres would go 0-2-1 in their next three games. Let's scrap that prediction just because its not optimistic. I mean, they can't have a huge EPIC FAIL game tonight... can they? Of course they can. Its the way of the Sabres. Last year after we trounced Atlanta 10-1 on January 18 we followed up with two losses, one to Toronto and one to the team we play on Saturday... Phoenix.
I'm sorry to be a Negative Nancy. I'm hopeful they won't be too swaggery and irresponsible and try to get all showy only to discover that the puck is no longer on their stick and Mike Cammalleri and Iggy have just set up a 2 on 1 with Marc-Andre Gragnani the only defenseman back. What a horrifying thought. Then again, why would M-A G be out against this guy:
Sabres in the Saddledome tonight at 8:00!
Private to Danny Paille:
Um, hey Pie! How did you manage to be a -1 last night? Please turn things around, Pie. Please?! For me?!
Thanks!
Love,
Oscar
Oh yeah and
Dear Detroit,
I'm adding you to this letter to the following.
Dear Tampa, Washington and now also Detroit,
I have three words and a number about your 11, 13, and 12 year contracts respectively:
Rick. DiPietro. 15. Years.
Love,
Anne
When I saw that Pie had been a -1 on the night, I went 'Bzuh?! How can this be?!'
ReplyDeleteOh Pie, that says an awful lot about how often you played last night. ):
I wrote similar things about Pie.
ReplyDeleteHere's the kicker-he was on ice for BOTH Edm goals, but since 1 was a PP it doesn't count against your +/- stats. So really, he was a -2. Sorta.
And good good good point about DiP. Big mistakes signing people for that long. Ask the Islanders about Yashin too.
