Dear Sabres and Sabre Fans,

Go ahead, say it: we're in a slump. A big one. Yes, it sucks. Yes, we've dropped from 5th place in the Eastern Conference to a seemingly dismal 11th place in just over a week. But we are NOT a crappy team. In fact, we're a pretty fucking awesome team. I realize we're not playing our best hockey right now, but it is far from being over. There are still 3 months to go in the regular season, we have an All Star defenseman and goalie on our team, a Jack Adams Award winning coach, we're fast, we're scrappy and when we're not too busy making pretty plays (Timmy) we get the job done.

We also have the best fans in the league. We're loyal to the point where we boo players from other teams because once upon a time, they laid a good one on one of our favorite players--many of whom don't play for our team anymore. It doesn't matter how badly we're playing, Sabre fans never give up and we will love and defend our Sabres until they get traded.

So don't give up that little glimmer of hope that may still be flickering somewhere inside you. Besides, at least we're ahead of the Maple Leafs.
