Ryan said it. Kate said it. I don't like to be an "I THOUGHT IT FIRST!" person (because I wasn't the first person who thought of it, I'm sure) but the last home game before Thanksgiving as I was walking out of the Arena, I seriously wondered if this might spell the end of Lindy's tenure as coach. I ignored it because I chalked it up to frustration but...
Something's gotta give.
We in Buffalo are too sentimental. We need to have more of a "We want to win NOW." mentality. Right now we have a "We might win if we wait long enough." mentality.
Nothing in the NHL is permanent. We've had a great run, but this crap isn't cutting it. The signs have been there for a while, players not responding and The System failing over and over and over again.
:(
I want to keep Lindy.
I want to win the Stanley Cup more.
Will we win it this season? No. But if we make the right changes we might next year.
Frankly, I'm tired of "next year".
I want "this year".
Peter Laviolette is free and he beat us on the way to Lord Stanley's Cup.
This really makes me sad. I have way too much to do to sit here and contemplate the fate of our head coach and our season.

CAN I JUST FLY DOWN TO TAMPA AND SMACK EVERY SINGLE SABRE SILLY??? And then proceed to bawl my eyes out in front of them, and tell them how much they mean to me, and how much it depresses me and us that they're doing terribly?? Maybe a cute girl crying will make them go all mushy and they might feel bad and try harder?? I'm grasping at air, here, dear...
Ugh I was talking about this with my dad last night. Losing Lindy would be so sad, but you're right. Maybe it's time?
ReplyDeleteR
Oh boy...
ReplyDeletemy thoughts exactly

yes, as long as it isn't at the expense of your finals because them losing AND you failing would not make this a joyous holiday season!!!

ReplyDeleteOh, dear, ECC's final's aren't for another week... So don't worry about that. And smacking them WOULD make it a joyous holiday season. Because I'd probably feel bad about hitting them and then hug them all to make it better, which would make me happy... You get my drift.
