Big Bear is a force of purity and light in an otherwise dark world.

Don't worry, Alix, we'll take care of your boys while they're here.... and by that I mean I hope we beat them....but don't hurt them.

ReplyDeleteI have lots of urges when I look at Big Bear and as much as I hate "Big Bear's Big Hair" he looks quite yummy in this picture, long sweaty hair and all.

ReplyDeleteI know we kept Tim Connolly because he was (at the time) the better hockey player and he may or may not have been in a persistent vegetative state at the time, but Vancouver got the pretty one. Mmmmmmmm TayPie.
I can totally see it now. Big Bear will get lost at the HSBC Area, having rarely (if ever?) played there on the visiting team. He'll wistfully and stand the doorway of the locker room and watch his ex-teammates. Derek Roy will be the first to notice him and he will cover his mouth with his hands to futilyhide his girlish gasp of surprise. Roy-Z will sit there, sadly remembering a time when they were roommates and Bear's hair wasn't so... long and unkempt. And Craig Rivet will look up from taping his stick or some other such game prep and give Steve the really tough nod of acknowledgement. Realizing he is lingering a little too long, Bear will eventually trudge off to his new changing room with his new team.
ReplyDeleteI think that would be a PERFECT scene in a made for tv movie.

ReplyDeleteAhhhhh Soph stop bringing the LULZ in the middle of the Study Quad. I'm pretty sure this is Big Bear's first trip to Buffalo as a visitor. OH BIG BEAR.

ReplyDeleteAwww. That's kind of sweet! I would throw some trash talk back at you about beating and such, but considering my boys are coming off playing the freakin Wings the night before travelling to Buffalo, I do not have high hopes for this game.
And I kind of love Big Bear's hair all long and shaggy. It might just be me. But one game against the Oilers, he was being a pest in front of the crease, and got his helmet knocked off like three times. Every time, his hair kind of blew around when he shook his head I was like "YUMMM". That's totally not the reason I watch hockey :P

ReplyDeleteAHHHHHHH. My heart can't handle the mental images, I'm not sure how I would've fared upon seeing the real deal!!!
